Oliver`s class and their cells

This past week at Southside Middle School, students in fifth grade created desserts – not just any desserts, but cell desserts, made to appear as parts of a cell: mitochondrion, cell wall, nucleus, cytoplasm, vacuole, and so on.  Pictured are students from Mrs. Erin Smith’s and Mrs. Staci Oliver’s classes last Friday, when the fifth graders had the chance to eat their cells (Oliver’s is a “before” photo; Smith’s is an “after” photo).
