Sixth graders at Southside Middle School in Mrs. Nelson’s, Mrs. Christ’s, and Mrs. Payne’s classes were intrigued as they listened to Chief Warrant Officer Jamie Mills.  Mr. Mills is a Blackhawk helicopter pilot for the National Guard. The students were able to watch video footage of flights in Iraq while Bailey Webster from Mrs. Payne’s room was given the opportunity to try on a survival vest.  Mr. Mills also shared the importance that Math, Reading, and Science play in being a helicopter pilot. Jamie Mills is the father of Blake Mills, a sixth grader in Mrs. Nelson’s class. Thanks Mr. Mills!
